SFP Volunteer Update – March, 2022

Hi, everyone. It feels like we are getting into a groove at the Pantry ~ we have been serving clients from inside since December! I hope those of you who have come to volunteer find the new Pantry as welcoming as our clients.

Volunteer Survey

As we settle in, I would like to get your feedback and thoughts on how things are working. Do you have suggestions on ways we can improve? Or maybe things we should continue to do? When you have a few minutes, I invite you to complete this short survey. Live, on-the-scene feedback is always welcome, so please share your thoughts anytime!

Pantry Coordinator

I am happy to announce that Terry Osborne-Deasy is our new Pantry Coordinator! Terry will be managing two openings a month for us as well as assisting with various other tasks. Terry has been volunteering with the Pantry since May, 2021. She has been with us through packing and serving as drive-thrus and now, inside. She is enthusiastic, friendly, intelligent and kind. Please join me and the Board welcoming her to this new role!

Our Impact

We continue to see a steady stream of individuals and families coming to the Pantry as well as in our school Snack Program. Below will give you some insight into the number of people we are able to help.

Our client families are able to visit twice a month. Emergency help is always available for any who need.

Our snack program provides healthy, nut-free, individually packaged snacks to students in need at our local elementary schools.

April Openings

We will be open five times in April, closing for Spring Break the week of April 17th. I have included links to sign-ups, so please be sure to check your schedule and register when you are available. Your participation is critical for us to serve our community. We are eternally grateful for your time and kindness.
