Volunteer Update, January 2021

January 29, 2021

Dear SFP Board of Directors and Volunteers,

Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you are staying warm and safe. Sending an update with some photos.

First item, is we shifted our date in February to the 10th due to the holiday.

Next piece of news, we have been seeing new Suffern clients since we began distributing from ASC. Many walk to the distribution site when we are open. Word is spreading allowing the Pantry to help even families.

Last week, we successfully completed our 2nd distribution from All Souls Community Church. Once again, I am so proud of the work we accomplished to feed 328 families in 4.5 hours. To date in January, we have provided food to 356 families equaling 1,172 individuals. These totals include emergency food for clients and COVID deliveries.

Sharing a few pictures from our January distribution. Note the line of cars in the 1st photo – that is the line.

The Pantry is blessed to have each of you on our team. As you know, we would never accomplish what we do without your generosity. To prove that point, we had approximately 100 volunteer slots filled by you to support our work in January alone. That includes folks who are behind-the-scenes as well as those on the front-line.

With sincere gratitude,

Joyce
